Cook to Feed.

A few days ago, I was watching Oprah which had Drew Barrymore in it. It was the episode about "Give Big". Drew talked about her work for the UN as a food ambassador. She talked about WFP (World Food Program) and their dream to feed 10 million more hungry school children in Africa by Thanksgiving Day. It's called the "Fill the Cup" program. http://www.wfp.org/english/

So, I want to do my part in contributing to help meet their target...and this is where you come to play your part as well. I have decided to contribute the profit I make from my cooking class towards the "fill the cup" program. Every small donation will go a long way. All these kids need is Porridge, rice or beans -- it takes just 25 cents to fill one of the Red Cups that WFP uses to give hungry kids.

I just wanted you all to know that we’ve got a neat opportunity to not only enjoy each others company, or learn a new dish or culture, but also to help people who truly need a helping hand.

This is how it works:
After each class (every month), I will make a check out to WFP and that is with the profit I have made from my class...and that is all.

Thanks for your generous help.

My next class is on the 20th of April.
And i will be teaching Shrimp Dumplings with Ginger Soy Sauce along with Ginger Cookie Triffle with Mascarpone Cheese Pudding.

See you soon and Namaste.

Thank you for putting our class fee toward this wonderful idea: Cook to Feed. We were very excited to learn the dishes you taught us and I'm happy to see this yummy dessert! I'm going to try and make it.
