Cooking in my new Kitchen.
OHMIGOSH!!! you will not believe what i did!
I did not take pictures of my first class in my new home. I completely forgot! I guess i was so excited about teaching in my new kitchen that taking pictures for my blog just never crossed my mind.
So, as the solution seeker i am,...i figured i post pictures of after cooking class and some of my kitchen and dinning area.
Sherpard's pie with Lamb Keema filling was a success especially with my students who thought maybe cooking with curry can be complex and difficult. I think they all went home knowing this is something they can whip up for their family and friends. I think that's the beauty of discovering new things especially things out side our comfort zone.
And speaking of comfort zone...i felt completely at comfort cooking in my new kitchen. When i designed it, i was thinking of the flow and how my mom would love to cook in my kitchen. She being such a wonderful cook...i want her to feel like she has been cooking in this kitchen for decades. She is very particular about flow and being practical of space...and i think i have inherited that from her. It's been wonderful. It's so good to have space and COUNTER SPACE!!! Yes, I'm yelling it out loud. I love my counter space...lot's of space.
My next class is one of our favorite Indian dishes...Butter Curry Chicken. A couple friend of mine loves this dish so much that they named their cat Butter Chicken. How cute huh?
Come learn it. I'm also teaching my moms rice pudding.
