Thanksgiving Dinner at Kenny and Jeff's.
Kenny and Jeff have been cooking Thanksgiving meal for years now, but I have yet to try their spread until yesterday. I woke up at 7:30 am, and went for a 3 mile walk with Bina, had a Healthy Choice soup for lunch, iron my cloths, baked Bon Appétit Brussel Sprouts and Cauliflower Bread Crumbs gratin and could not stop looking at the clock...waiting for 4:30pm, which is dinner at Kenny and Jeff's. To be honest, I think I kept looking at the clock every 10 minutes waiting impatiently for this wonderful meal to arrive.
Once, Michael, Eric and I got to their humble home, I could smell sage in the air, roast turkey cooling on the kitchen counter, stuffing on the stove and not to mention smiles on everyone's face. It's that time of the year, to carve the turkey, to toast to friendship and to start eating soon and looking forward to seconds and in my case thirds.
I love gastroporn... : ) The meal was delicious.
I could not even remember, what were our dinner conversations. Shame on me, I was busy treasuring every bite I had and thinking how wonderful to be part of this happy family of Kenny, Jeff, Gine (Jeff's mom), Cooper and Jasper (2 Miniature SchnauzerPoodles).
Today after another 3 mile walk...I had some left-overs...even better. And of course a big thanks to Kenny and Jeff for packing up some left-overs for me.
The wonderful night got even better as we ate our pumpkin pie's and watch CNN's All Star Tribute to CNN Heroes. It was a wonderful feeling to see how there are all these amazing heroic people who are selfless with their giving. It makes our world worth fighting for from the hands of those who don't cherish the beauty and simplicity of humanity. Thank you to the heroes of this world who continue to inspire me and thank you for teaching me and the rest of the world not to give up.
Happy Thanksgiving and Namaste.
