Masala Power

One of my favorite curries of all times is my mom's chicken masala. I got to teach it yesterday to a group of 7 women. It was an awesome group. It was a Masala Girl Power class. My students never thought Indian cooking could be easy. I think that's the fear in all of us, to try something new and different. We fear its going to turn out horrible and all the effort to make it, is just going to be wasteful. We fear the unfamiliar names of spices, we fear the strange smell of a new ingredient...and the list goes on.
I think the first thing we need to do is to say "hey, I will not burn it, i'm beyond that"...relax, plan ahead, try it and enjoy it. As for me...my biggest fear is to cook Moroccan food. Well...people, I'm going to try cooking some Moroccan by end of this year. And for those of you who fear curry or something new...try it. The worst could happen is...it's either you love it or hate it.
Hey...so, with that said, come check out my next class:
The class is called "Holiday Appetizers". You will learn to make Coconut Chicken Curry and a Mint Dipping Sauce as a base for two delicious holiday appetizers -- Coconut Chicken Curry in Puff Pastries and Coconut Chicken Curry Spring Rolls.

CONGRATS Suba! Are you going to be the next Rachael Ray? Don't forget to invite me as your guest if you have your own TV show. I can make devil curry, it'll probably be too spicy for mat sallehs. LOL! It's so nice to see you doing well, promoting our Malaysian dishes. Cheers my friend & God bless always.
